Fidelidade Ímpar recently participated in the event “Climate and Sustainable Financing – its importance for the Insurance system in Mozambique”, held in Maputo.

The initiative was promoted by the British Government’s Green Cities and Infrastructure (GCIP) programme, in partnership with the Mozambican Insurance Association and the Mozambican Banking Association, and brought together industry experts to discuss the impacts of climate change and the sustainable responses of the financial sector.

Mozambique is one of the countries most exposed to climate risks and Fidelidade Ímpar has consolidated its actions in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), through an active and transversal Sustainability and ESG Policy.

Fidelidade Ímpar is part of the Fidelidade Group, which has 217 years of experience and is an international reference in protection and commitment to sustainability. Fidelidade has been recognized as one of the most sustainable insurers in the world, reaching 4th place globally and 2nd in Europe in the Morningstar Sustainalytics ESG ranking, among 301 insurers evaluated. This recognition was announced during the company's participation in COP28, in December 2023.

Among the measures adopted by Fidelidade Ímpar are the management of salvage, the elimination of plastic bottles, the reuse of coffee capsules, the use of recycled materials, the digitalization of processes and the gradual introduction of hybrid vehicles.

The presence at this meeting reflects Fidelidade Ímpar's ongoing commitment to promoting capacity building, institutional cooperation and the construction of a more resilient and sustainable insurance sector.
